•83.2V lithium battery systems would only work as direct replacements in counterbalance forklifts specifically designed to operate on an 83.2V power system. Not all counterbalance forklifts use this voltage, so verify your forklift’s requirements first.

•Check with the counterbalance forklift manufacturer about 83.2V lithium battery compatibility before installing them. Provide the battery specifications so they can determine if all components will properly function, and follow any recommendations they provide.

•Choose a premium 83.2V lithium battery system specifically designed for high-power electric forklift applications. Lesser quality lithium batteries will not have the power, durability or safety features required for an 83.2V counterbalance forklift system.

•Work with the lithium battery supplier to determine the right capacity (kWh) based on your forklift model’s power demands and runtime requirements. An 83.2V system will require an extremely high-capacity battery, likely 150 kWh or more for most counterbalance forklifts.

•The 83.2V lithium batteries must come with an advanced Battery Management System to monitor voltage, temperature and charge for safety. The BMS helps prevent issues that could impact power, performance or stability under maximum load capacity.
